Sandee Hazelbaker

Art Work On Display
In Brown County Art Gallery

Sandee's artistic career started in 1980 when she began teaching in her studio in Cincinnati, Ohio. She taught weekly classes, workshops and seminars for over 25 years.  Designing and private commission work for clients in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana were rewarding challenges as well. Sandee studied under a few well-known Cincinnati artists but is mostly self-taught.

She has received awards for her impressionistic art as well as her realistic paintings. Articles about Sandee's work have been featured in the Bloomington Herald, The Brown County Democrat, Our Brown County and the book entitled Art in the Heartland.

She has been juried into shows both national and international in Pittsburgh, Pa., The Charlotte Art Guild in Punta Gorda, Florida, The Gallery North in Bloomington, Indiana and The Indiana Heritage Arts Show in Nashville, Indiana in 2006.

She currently is a member of The Brown County Art Gallery, The Brown County Art Guild, The Brown County Art Alliance, The Hoosier Salon, and The Indiana Heritage Arts and Indiana Plein Air Painters Association.

Sandee's impressionist oil paintings are now on exhibit at the Brown County Art Gallery, and her own Cabin Ridge Studio & Gallery on Wallow Hollow Road in Nashville, Indiana.

Artist's Statement

Through my love of painting I discovered that I have been able to unveil to my eyes the true magnificence in the world. Each day brings a spectrum of new colors and astonishing images waiting to be captured for others to enjoy through the visions I am able to create with my brush. I feel so very blessed.
